7 days of Reflection 2020

Every year in December I complete a reflection,  a time to reflect on the past year. Usually it's 12 days created by someone else but this year I did my own for 7 days.  2020 has been a year of many challenges and changes. Many unknowns became our new normal. It's important more than ever to reflect on the good things we had left this year.

Below is the list of the Reflections questions:

1)Make a list of 7 things you are grateful for in the past year.

3)write a movie this past year that resonated with you and why.

4)If you can go back to any time and place in your life what would it be and why.

5)Write a list of 12 things that made you feel good this year.

LEARNING TO BE YOUR BEST SELF:

Ever bought a beautiful ceramic piece? every crack tells about the history, the essence of its resilence in becoming that beautiful piece because it has been broken. Like that ceramic piece, we must learn to embrace our flaws and imperfections. You too will experience brokenness to be different than you were before. You will be a better person because of your imperfections not in spite of them. You will fail, you will fall and break but you will stand up, dust off and repair yourself again and again.

CREATE YOUR OWN SUNSHINE:

If you want happiness you have to choose it. No one can make you happy but you. Live your life like you mean it. Appreciate who you are, nusance and all. Find the wonder in your surroundings and take time to  notice the fainbow after the rain. When the rain gets you down, create your sunshine because you're the only one that can.

GIVING YOUR THOUGHTS TOO MUCH POWER:

Your thoughts are both substantial and flexible,. Knowing this, why do we allow how thoughts to control us? Just like we think negative thought we can change it to positive ones. Understand this, it takes practice.  It pays to not give your thoughts too much power over your life. Think Positive!

EXPECTATION AND JOY

Be careful of the expectations we set for others and for ourselves as well. Setting expectations leaves very little room for wonder and the unknowns.
